Together, We Can Strengthen Our Beloved Historically Black Colleges and Universities

At our firm, we have the client—and only the client—in mind.

In addition to being a personal finance blogger, Martin is a proud alumnus of Howard University and a 25+ year veteran in the financial services industry with a focus on retirement planning, investment management, and fiduciary consulting. He uses his years of experience to help clients as the founder and president of Wealthcare Financial Group, Inc. The need for prudent guidance and high-quality service is the basis for his business philosophy.

To serve the unique needs of high-net worth individuals and family offices with more breadth and depth than what is traditionally offered by wealth management firms, Martin has completed a master’s degree in commercial real estate finance at Georgetown University. He has also completed several financial designations, including the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) and Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst (AIFA®) designations, as administered by the Center for Fiduciary Studies (aka, “Fiduciary360”).

Martin splits his time between Washington, D.C. and the Atlanta metro area, where he is actively hiring and training new financial advisors as well as recruiting new investment firms to join the Wealthcare Financial Group, Inc. family of firms. He and his wife, Walida, have seven children.
